| 1 | The first thing I ever did in cooking was a piece of bacon . It 's quite a funny story and so I think I will tell it to you . |

| 3 | My mum was very tired and so I said to her I would make the breakfast . I asked her what she would like . She said that she would like a piece of bacon and this is where the story begins . |
| 4 | When I got downstairs I got the frying_-_pan out and then I went over_to the larder and got the fat out . I put the fat in the frying_-_pan and put the gas on . I turned the gas up_to high and the fat spat all over the place . |
| 5 | When the fat was melted I turned the gas off and I went over_to the fridge and got the bacon out . I turned the gas on and put a piece of bacon in the pan but the gas was too high and When I had done the bacon it was all burnt . |
| 6 | I just realised that I had n't done the bread and butter and so I did that . |
| 7 | When I brought her breakfast up it was all lovely and cold and poor mum struggled through it . |
