1Swimming is really being able to get out from a river you have fallen in without drowning.
2The two main swimming strokes are the breaststroke and the crawl.
3The breaststroke is very hard to explain in words but I am going to try to do it.
4You first float, and then move your legs and hands to a certain position.
5Next you move your legs and arms forward, kick your legs out and move your hands round, and then you do this again.
6Very soon you find you are swimming.
7The crawl is very different.
8It is like kicking except you are much more graceful.
9You are in a position like this at first and you then kick out and do long strokes with your arms and legs.
10Very soon you find you are moving along.
11Swimming is great fun and everybody should try it.
12It is a life-saver.
